Academic details:

Ph.D (July 2015-till date) in Department of Applied Science and Engineering at IIT Roorkee

M.Tech (2013-2015) in Paper Technology at IIT Roorkee

B.Tech (2009-2013) in Biotechnology at D.C.R.U.S.T, Murthal, Haryana

Current Research area

Colorimetric detection detection and deactivation of bacteria by paper matrices.

Academic  Background:

Currently Miss Sudiksha Aggrawal is carrying out her PhD in Department of Applied Science and Engineering, Saharanpur Campus, IIT Roorkee on the topic entitled “Paper matrices for the detection and deactivation of bacteria”. Herein, the organic and inorganic compounds will be immobilized on the cellulose fibers of the paper matrices followed by the immobilization of biomolecules which can this be used for the colorimetric deactivation and detection of bacteria. She has obtained her M.Tech degree from the same institute. Her dissertation work was on immobilization of bismuth oxide nanoparticles on cellulose fiber surfaces of paper matrices for the study of antimicrobial applications. She obtained her B.Tech degree in “Biotechnology” from D.C.R.U.S.T, Murthal, Haryana in 2013. During her B.Tech , she carried out her project on “ Effect of freeze drying on β- Galactosidase activity”. There she studied effect of different concentrations of cryoprotective agents on enzyme activity.
