Colorimetric detection detection and deactivation of bacteria by paper matrices. Paper matrices immobilized with organic and inorganic compounds for photocatalytic and antibacterial applications, Synthesis of nanocellulose fibers.

Academic Background:

Ms. Indu Chauhan is presently working as a postdoctoral fellow in Department of Applied Science and Engineering at Saharanpur Campus,  She has done her PhD from the same institute on the topic entitled “Chemi-bioactive paper for photocatalytic and antibacterial applications”. She obtained her M.Tech Degree in 2012 in “Paper technology” from IIT Roorkee and did B.Tech in “Biotechnology” from DCRUST, Murthal affiliated to Maharishi Dayanand University in 2010.

During her M.Tech and Ph.D thesis, she expertise herself in synthesizing the metal oxide nanostructures using the different methods and how can then these nanoparticles can enhance the paper properties which can be used for the various high end applications. She also did the project on “Quality control of antibiotic productions” during her B.Tech.
