Current Research area: Synthesis of Nanoporous Polymers for Gas Adsorption and Separation

My research is mainly focused on “The synthesis of Nanoporous Polymers for Gas Adsorption and Separation”. Nanoporous Polymers as a subset of nanostructured materials, which possess unique surface, structural, and bulk properties that underline their important uses in various fields such as ion exchange, separation, catalysis, sensor, biological molecular isolation and purifications.

For the most of the gases the kinetic diameter falls in the region of microporous and mesoporous material because of this reason Nanoporous polymers can play an important role in the field of gas adsorption and separation.  The gases can also be selectively adsorbed or separated by nanoporous polymers by controlling the pore size  and also by functionalize the surface of nanoporous polymer.
