speed breakers on campus roads

several varieties  of speed breakers (oops, axle breakers) are being installed on campus roads without any scientific thought. Are they really required in so many numbers? How hazardous these are for scooterists and bicyclists?

these speed breakers plus our rajnikant inspired rickshaw pullers gave me a half inch deep cut on the foot as i fell from the rickshaw last month. seriously, these speed breakers should either be changed or removed. noone needs them in iitr. i guess. i mean not at every 50 meters.

all the students are using cycles why do we require speed breakers. scooters or bikes are used by faculty and their family and most of them are not even 18 years of age.

what i feel is faculty should feel responsible and shud stop giving two wheelers to their children.

and faculty shud understand the speed limit to drive in the campus.

Hay to all

Here we have a great transportation engg. depart. They also deal with speed breaker. They wann to design a breaker to put body in air more than imaginable(zero gravity).

When they will finaly do that (hopefully), then after listening cracking bone  they say "YaH iii Do this".

No doubt, they are being installed for our safety bt i think they are solving a different purpose then tht..................

Truely speaking while sitting on a rickshaw, ones heart starts beating fast while crossing them....coz the rickshaw pullers dont bother to slow down the speed of rickshaw, just to keep the vehicle in motion (at pace) otherwise they have to put extra effort to pull it again from a halted motion (due to speed breaker)...While riding a cycle ur foot which is at a lower position while peddling, just touches the speedbreaker sometimes....The one speedbreaker which is on the right side of nestea while heading towards hospital is really dangerous....God forbid one may not reach hospital due to that only some day
