Hii,

Today what I saw in mess was totally unacceptable. There was a person in the mess soaking water from plate in which we eat with a cloth . AND HE USED THAT SAME CLOTH TO SOAK HIS SWEAT. For heaven sake what was he thinking.

 Is this is the standard of our so called IIT brand name. This act has caused many other questions which need to be answered.

We can’t just sit and do nothing . Let’s stand against it  and Let people know  that NOW THINGS HAVE TO CHANGE.

I urge to you to not just ignore this discussion. .

Some other problems that  we  face in mess like quality of food , Cleanliness, That damm oily water, rubber chapatiis, 

Come up with questions that you want to ask OUR  Mess Secretary , Our Mess warden.

Plzz share your views about this Urgent Problem and bring immediate changes.

 convene  a meeting  with  Mess sec and chief  warden,warden and inform all students of ravindra bhavan... we shud sit  across the  table and  discuss... the other thing i observed is  the supervisor   uses his  saliva   for  taking out the  coupon of  DAHI /EGG.. where we have it hold it and  use.....and toook food  with the same hands....  i even said to him  use  water /sponge to  do that acitivity but he never  did  that....

haha ravindar waalon bahut gariyaate the govind mess ko!!aur lo bainama!!

This prob. is with all the mess.  As a person get elected as mess Sec. Then he rarely come to the mess. Don't show ur power in winning the election for eating money, show ur power to fight the prob we r facing.

dear it is one of u who take up this problem but whn i blow whistle  last year  the so called bastards  seniors (phd) of this hostel   say it is truly false and never arise such alllegations  now  you judge what kind of people tere to run such mess to really a mess up

The problem is almost similar in other messes also. Eating in Kasturba Bahwan's mess is just like eating road side food. The food is so unhealthy, unhygenic, half cooked chapaties, and that pathetic menu, uhhh.... Above all, when you talk to mess warden about this, she scold girls by saying that "Skip the meal, eat in canteen, or leave the hostel". Even the mess workers doesnot have enough etiquettes to talk to the girls.

fact is that even if  you r eatin ouitside the insti we donno who cooks it. how he\she does it. But d event wid rupesh was not cool and i totally support him.

Blaming B.tech, M.tech or Ph.D people is not correct. we only elected the person for SEC. I already mention most of MEss Sec. rarely com to mess to eat. This tym please select the person who really work.. it don't matter he/she is B.tech, M.tech or Ph.d, We all have to work toghter on this matter. since we have divided ourself in group thts y they people are making fool.. to student. wht abt the fund tht come to hostel  for its maintance.

There are lots of other matter than tht have to solved.

Most of the out sider come to campus with bike,

Smoking & Drinking inside the campus, Cleaning of the bhawan & toilet, Internet facility in Hostel, etc........

very true many times i come there only bcz i hav paid for it......bt dont eat much its better to eat in canteen than mess......food is veryy bad

truely these days they are crossing limits in Ravindra..food is as bad as ever..i can hardly manage 4 dinners a week in mess thanks to the gr8 menu we have..and now even breakfasts are so oily and unhealthy..they feed us 4 diffrnt kind of oily pakoras in the week..

On top of that they are compromising wid hygiene now...i too have seen dirty, uncleaned glasses containing the detergent water used for cleaning them..i have complained abt it to the gate-keeper bt no signs of improvements yet..

The food as we all know is not good but atleast cleanliness should be maintained and it's the responsibility of mess secy and administration to make the mess workers behave in a proper manner.

before coming to iit in my mtech i had thought just to eat, drink n be merry.

the classes r truly great but i m sure that here at roorkee no one can get the

mess right. probably this is the worst iit in this sense.......

just look at the food of it bhu.

iit fever will come instantaneously down.

Hi All.

I would like to give following suggestions so that we have some thing to cheer regarding menu.

1. The content of potatoes in every item is very high, if it can be reduced taste may come with addition of correct spice.

2. It surprised to see that there is no paneer or mushroom items. It should be included min once a week.

3.Diff types of chatnis to be included which can be served like tomato, coconut, pudina etc.

Finally, the mess menu should be displayed for infromation.

 koi be mess perfect nahi hota........use perfect banana padata hai..........
